FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where are you located?
We have recently relocated to the east end of the marina as of February 2025. You will access the T dock next to the Starlite Majesty Cruise boat located next to the Bait House. We are located at slips T124 & T125.

Both the REEL DEAL and REEL DEAL II are 34 ft vessels that can accommodate all of your needs for a great day of fishing! The REEL DEAL boasts a large, open back deck along with plenty of covered seating and a downstairs drive-station for a more intimate experience with the captain. The REEL DEAL II is a newer vessel with more amenities including an enclosed cabin to get out of the sun or rain. Many of our returning customers may also choose one or the other based on preference of captain.
How many people can I bring on my charter?
Both the REEL DEAL and REEL DEAL II are each licensed to carry up to 6 anglers.
What if I am a single person or a couple and do not want to book the whole boat or share the cost with others?
Do to high volume of business, we do not often arrange shared charters. The highest likelihood of a shared charter is in our offseason (September, January, February) at $225 per person for the halfday for 4 total anglers. Call or text Reel Deal Office at (727) 906-7749 with your name and availability during these months if you want to be on our shared charter list. In an effort to help get people together for shared charters, we have launched a Facebook group Reel Deal Fishing Club to make it easier for you to interact with us and our other customers! Join the club and let us know when you’re available!
What is included in the price of my fishing charter?
The price for your charter includes everything you need for fishing! All rods, reels, tackle, bait, licensing, and vessel amenities are included. Each boat has coast-guard approved number of adult and child life preservers. We are a full service fishing charter and will help with baiting and fish removal as needed. Our captains are experienced offshore fishermen out of Clearwater, Florida which means they know better than anyone where and how to catch fish! They will also fillet your catch when you return to the dock and have advice on how to transport or prepare your fish. They also know a few restaurants in the area that will cook your catch!
Are there any “hidden” fees not included in the charter price?
It is customary to tip the captain/crew if you enjoy your charter fishing experience (15-20% is standard). Parking in our marina lot is controlled by the City of Clearwater. The marina lot is reserved for only marina patrons and is enforced via Pay By Plate kiosks. Our customers must obtain a daily code from the captain to use at the kiosks and the cost to park is $6 for the halfday and $12 for a full day.

What’s the deal with traffic and parking on Clearwater Beach?
Clearwater Beach was voted the #1 Beach in the South in 2023, continuing to grow as a top destination for visitors from around the world. The growth of tourism continues to rise and because of this, we have high traffic and limited parking. This does NOT affect our customers with morning departures before the beach gets busy. Our afternoon trips must take into consideration the high volume of tourists visiting the island. We highly encourage those staying on the island to walk or use a ride service. (Way to go rides/Uber/etc.) If you are traveling from off the island, please allow yourself plenty of time due to traffic. There are Park & Ride options such as the Ferry, Jolly Trolly, etc.)
Clearwater Marina is undergoing a major construction project. You can follow the updates & progress at the link here.
