Okay gang, here’s the scoop. The end of the year usually brings a push of king mackerel to the area with the falling temperatures. As of right now they haven’t made their way in to our fishing grounds, but we are on the lookout everyday. The good news is that kings aren’t the only fish that get fired up with the cooler weather. Changing tactics to bottom fishing as opposed to trolling has filled our boxes with a multitude of species. Gags, mangrove snapper, hogfish and the almighty grunt have graced our cutting tables with their presence. Steady action has been the name of the game lately.
